The Ferro Monte Chapter, NSDAR is seeking sponsorships for wreaths to cover the 560 veteran graves at the combined Cemeteries of the First Presbyterian Church and the United Methodist Church on Main Street in Succasunna. The wreaths will be placed on the veteran graves on National Wreaths Across America Day, Saturday December 17. To meet this goal, we are asking for sponsorships from local businesses, groups and individuals; each wreath costs $15. By giving to this annual event you'll be supporting the Wreaths Across America with our mission to Remember, Honor our Veterans and to Teach our future Veterans that we are and will be thankful for their service and show them “We Do Not Forget, We Will Never Forget”. Every time you help us honor our veterans and active military, you are also honoring their families and teaching a new generation to appreciate our freedom.
We have Veterans Day in the fall and Memorial Day in the spring, but our servicemen and women sacrifice their time and safety every single day of the year, to preserve our freedoms. In many homes, there is an empty seat for one who is serving, or one who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. There is no better time to express our appreciation than during the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. The 3rd Annual Roxbury Wreaths Across America will take place on December 17 at the combined cemeteries of the First Presbyterian Church and United Methodist Church on Main Street in Succasunna with wreath laying at 11am and a Remembrance Ceremony at noon in the Presbyterian Church. We hope you will join us, to show our veterans and their families that we will not forget. We will never forget.
Honor veterans in our community by sponsoring a wreath by November 28. To make a tax-deductible donation go to RoxburyWAA.org. If you prefer to write a check, make it payable to Wreaths Across America and send to 20 Garden Ct, Succasunna, NJ 07876. For more information: email FerroMonteDAR@gmail.com.
